about us We are a hardworking, practical, volunteer youth organisation. We provide training in First Aid and Home Nursing. We strongly believe in our motto "Pro Ulitate Hominum" which means "For the service of mankind" We have volunteered our services at school events such as the Sports day and our annual Cross-Country. Our Vision & Mission Our mission is promote first-aid practices and work towards an average of 1 trained first aider in each class. Our goal is to achieve excellence in first aid standards by participating in first aid competitions every year. Saturday, 31 March 2007 hellos! this is probably the last post that the sec 4s are posting, provided that lim hee or cravens still want to add another post. :D Most of you might be wondering why the sec 4s step down earlier this year. one of the reasons is that 'o' levels are being pushed forward this year, so we need the time to study as our studies ain't that good. aother is that we felt that we cannot cope with st john day due to the lack of manpower. it isn't easy to plan stuffs with only 3 people. so thats two of the reasons. there may be other reasons. okays.so i said that we lack of manpower. but please remember, a united-3-people committee is much more better than a 10-people committee that cannot communicate among each other. to me, teamwork is very amazing. without teamwork, there's a lot of things you can't do at all. you will know why in times to come if you find that there's to teamwork in all of you. take a step at a time, don't rush things. :D whatever you do, remember : Rather fall with honor than succeed by fraud. take care peeps! though we step down, we will always regard ourselves as a st john cadet. x] Sunday, 11 March 2007 today's topic will be on UNIFORM. (: UNIFORM is part of us, is a respect towards st john. by having a full complete and neat attire shows how much you actually respect st john. There are many parts of the uniform, namely:- Beret Blouse/Shirt Skirt/Pants Belt Boots there r certain standards to meet for every part. lets start from the first one. Beret Beret includes putting the crest on. when crest is on, the Beret represents st john. by placing Beret on the ground means that you have no form of respect to st john. (that explains why you are being punished when you drop your Beret) Beret have to be kept clean at all time. (all dirt have to be removed. eg: white patches, dirt particles) Blouse/Shirt Shirt or Blouse have to be ironed properly. a line must be seen at the sleeve of your shoulder. collar must be standing and not ironed flat. Skirts/Pants Skirt or Pants have to be ironed properly too. must be off appropriate length. (eg: not too long, not too short) Belt the crest is also present on your belt. belt have to be seen when you are wearing half-u/full-u metal at the tip of the belt must be seen Boots MUST be polished for every training. not anyhow, but there's certain standard to follow. the sides of the boots must be clean at all times. uniform plays an important role. Therefore, you people should learn to respect your uniform. (:
