Basic Cardiac Life Support Instructor Course Date :21 March 2009 (Saturday) Time :9.00am – 6.00pm Venue : Ngee Ann Polytechnic BCLS Lab Blk 81, #02-05 Since no one update, i shall :] Today went to NP for BCLS, heard that Joshua is in the nursing faculty (Wen Yan say de). Ngee Ann Poly very BIG arhhh... Got lost moment i stepped in T-T explored about 15mins 'following arrows?' (why? cause im direction sense-less) Finally saw Sir Derrick (Kranji de), he say turn inside. (i mean inside, it's really inside de inside de inside) and it's actually near SIM entrance. Should have drop at SIM T_T''' Then lesson started with a pre-lesson theory test, quite easy. (if you got listen to BCLS-provider course,sure full mark de). Then Dr Ronnie (sorry if i spelt wrongly :p) explained to us their mission, Do you know that actually only 2.7% out-of-hospital-cardiac-arrest-casualties survive? Its like 3 out of every 100! So it is important for singaporean to have such awareness and learn CPR. Their aim to push this percentage up to 60%, so as to save more lives. Then Graph Evaluation, finally i know how to read:]... Also we learned different adults have different learning style... Different learning style use different approach... Had tea-break, milk tea with oat biscuits. No-one seems to like oat? Continued by Ms Shree infection control lesson, (girls or some guys, when using manikins cannot use lipstick de). She then continued with Troubleshooting with manikins. BTW SJAB room manikin's skill guide no battery le, please change? [Shock me when lights gone off when i practise last thurs):] Had Chickenchop at SIM...NICE=] Continued a mock lesson, then 'dissected' manikins (I like taking out compenents and putting them back) Learned how to disinfect manikins, im going to clean the one at SJAB room one day... Lastly, ended with a graph interpretation test, passed with flying colours:] However i thought i CMI initially, cause mock lesson is not-so-flying-colour pass. Then what i need to do is give 2 BCLS lesson and attend one more course on 25April thisyear then can be certified?
